FROM MASTER DÔGEN


              Life is a man who
          pilots a boat. But although
              it is he who trims
          the sails and holds the tiller,
          it is the boat that bears him.

              There is no being
          outside his craft. It is he
              who makes the boat
          a boat. Movement is life, and
          it is that movement making

          life one with time, time with life.
